Jerry’s Playlist Goes Live!

Jerry’s Playlist Goes Live!

I created this playlist as a fun, ongoing addition to the Pink Money Podcast. It’s not about financial planning — not even close — but it is about joy. Music is big part of the queer community and culture.  I want this podcast to feel like more than just education. I hope it brings a little entertainment, a little personality, and a little more connection between us.

Life isn’t all about numbers and spreadsheets. It’s about joy, too. And like music, podcasts are a personal choice. You might love my taste in music — or you might not. That’s OK. There is a ton of music that isn’t my cup of tea, so this isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea either.

You do your thing, boo-boo. 💁‍♂️

Jerry’s Playlist will grow over time — I’m starting small with just three songs that mean something to me, but it will expand over time. The idea is to give you a little extra soundtrack to your week — songs to inspire you, motivate you, or just make you smile.

Give Jerry’s Playlist a spin today and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear which voices make your personal pantheon. Music is meant to be shared — and who knows, your suggestion might make it onto a future playlist drop.

Music has always been a big part of my life, and some voices just never get old. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the singers I never get tired of — Judy Garland, Patsy Cline, Diana Krall, Allison Krauss, Ella Fitzgerald, Celine Dion — the kind of artists who make you stop, listen, and maybe even feel a little lighter.

🎤 Jerry’s Personal Pantheon of Singers

Since I’m introducing a playlist, it feels only right to share my personal “Pantheon” — the voices that inspire me, comfort me, and make me hit replay again and again. These aren’t ranked, just celebrated:

  • Judy Garland – The gold standard of emotional connection. Her voice could be tender one moment and bring the house down the next.
  • Patsy Cline – Pure warmth and heart. When she sings, you believe her.
  • Diana Krall – Smoky, intimate, sophisticated — my go-to for late-night listening.
  • Allison Krauss – Crystal clear, effortless control, a voice that feels like home.
  • Ella Fitzgerald – Pure joy in vocal form. Her phrasing and tone are unmatched.
  • Celine Dion – Big ballads, big emotion, and a voice that soars.
  • Shirley Bassey – Drama, power, presence — every song feels like an event.
  • Andrea Bocelli – Expressiveness and beauty that transcend language.
  • Dinah Washington – Soulful and sharp, a master at storytelling through song.
  • Frank Sinatra (early years) – Unmatched phrasing and charm when he was at his peak.

These are the artists I’d spend money on without hesitation — because I know I’ll keep listening for years to come.
